Torcida "brinca" com curling, mas Grã-Bretanha perde final
O Reino Unido mostrou empolgação nesta sexta-feira, antes da final masculina do curling em Sochi 2014. No Twitter, vários britânicos postaram mensagens de apoio à seleção do país e até fizeram uma divertida homenagem ao esporte mais inusitado dos Jogos Olímpicos de Inverno. No entanto, a seleção do país perdeu a disputa da medalha de ouro para o favorito Canadá, que venceu o confronto por 9 a 3.
Com a hashtag #lovecurling (amo curling), diversos britânicos publicaram fotos de adaptações do curling, um esporte em que um bloco de pedra é lançado sobre uma pista de gelo, que é "varrida" por outros dois atletas com vassouras de acrílico. De qualquer maneira, a medalha de prata acabou sendo uma surpresa para o curling britânico.
